Are you a Purchasing Assistant / Administrator looking for a local 8–12-week contract for a global organisation in Alton? I’m looking for someone that is looking to help the procurement team that has experience helping suppliers, creating quotations, resolving any issues with invoices.
We are seeking a Purchasing Assistant / Administrator from no specific background (purchasing background would be beneficial) to help with the procurement services such as raising PO’s, assisting in the procurement of materials for projects, obtaining quotes, negotiating figures.
Salary / Rate
- Rate of £18 to £21 per hour umbrella DOE
- 3 days per week with 4 to 5 days some week
- 22.5 hours a week
Essential experience
- Experience chasing quotes, working with a range of suppliers over the phone and email
- Organised with ability to work up to 5 days per week
- Experience using an ERP system to update information from suppliers
- Any background in a coordination or assistant role but ideally some exposure to working within engineering or some experience working with drawings
The role
- 8-12 weeks assisting the procurement team with all activities
- Assisting in the procurement of materials for projects, obtaining quotes, negotiating figures, raising purchase orders, and updating ERP system
- Good communication skills to engage with the team and suppliers
