Design Engineer

We're currently looking for a Design Engineer with an interest in a strong career path and seeking a challenging, stimulating, and varied role for a company who develops, assembles, operates, and maintains the UK’s largest commercial Uncrewed Aerial Vehicles on a permanent basis. The company provide a highly efficient, cost-effective point to point air transportation solution, and supply in multiple sectors (Air Mail & Parcel Delivery, Medical, Aid, and Environmental Protection.

The company themselves working within several different industries including, this is site consisting of circa 40 people, they have a very strong order book until next year that have recently added several new products to their existing product line, and now looking for a Design Engineer to come in and join a team of 6, based near Southampton.

Design Engineer

Essential Requirements / Experience:

  • University degree in relevant engineering discipline

  • Excellent proficiency in any cad package

  • Knowledge of relevant design standards (e.g., CS23, AC43)

  • Knowledge and experience of all Microsoft Office 365 packages, SharePoint, PowerPoint, etc

Design Engineer
The Role

  • Interface directly with our operations team

  • Carry out our root cause analysis on issues, leveraging experience of senior designers, where necessary

  • Carrying our design tasks, following internal design release processes – rectifying any issues

  • Implementing engineering change practices

  • Carry out component and system design analysis
